Mentor Program
The backbone of STOP is made up of individuals who donate their time
and effort to being a tutor or a mentor. We invite you to "become a
Samaritan" and join the team.
The Good Samaritan Foundation is looking for kind, concerned adults to
serve as mentors and offer support, guidance and encouragement to our
STOP students. As a mentor, you provide a sustained presence of a
positive, caring adult role model to a young person. The mentor program
is shaped by you and your student. Together you determine the needs of
the student and set the goals for the program.
Most interactions between mentor and student take place after school
during the week or on the weekends. Some mentors see their student once a
week, some once a month. We know that your time is valuable, therefore
you set your own schedule with the parent and the student.
